Lying
at the foot of Mt Yongning 15 km east of Yixia County and 120 km southwest
of Beijing , it is the burial site
for the members of the imperial family of the Qing Dynasty, where
buried are four emperors. The tomb area is over 100 km in circumference.
It is now a famous excursion site south of Beijing.

Eastern Qing Tombs
Located
125 km east of Beijing, it is the burial place for th members of
the imperial family of the Qing Dynasty . This is a magnificent
and complete imperial mausoleum, where there are five emperor tombs,
four empress tombs and f imperial concumbine tombs. It is now one
the famous historic sites in China.

Imperial Summer Villa in Chengde
Imperial
Summer Villa and Eight Outer Temples in Chengde are among the first
group of the major scenic areas named by the State Council and form
one of the ten famous scenic areas in China. In 1992, this scenic
area was included in the List of World Heritages by UNESCO.
The Imperial Summer Villa, also called Rehe Temporary Palace, is located
in Chengde City and is the largest imperial garden well preserved,
occupying an area of 5.64 million m*m.
The Eight Outer Temples form the largest temple group built in the
early period of the Qing Dynasty. The temples built in the Tibetan,
Han and Mongolian styles are scattered mong the nearby hills around
the Summer Villa. In fact, there were orginally 11 temples, .f which
only seven remain now. The wooden statue of the Goddess of Mercy in
Puning Temple is 22.2metres high, the highest of its kind in China.
Qinhuangdao
is a seaport city consisting of Shanhai guan, Beidaihe, seaport district
and Changli County. Shanhaiguan is a famous pass located at a strategic
spot of the Great Wall between mountains and sea. It is renowned for
its magnificent gatetower named No.l Pass under Heaven. The well-known
scenic spot Laolongtou is the starting point of the Great Wall.
