Xihu Lake in Hangzhou
Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang
Province, enjoys good fame for its Xihu (West Lake) Scenic Area
lying to the west of city proper. Among more than 30 lakes named
after "Xi Hull, the Xihu Lake in Hangzhou is the most fascinating.
The
Xihu Lake occupies an area of more than 6 km2 and is 15 km in circumference,with
many scenic spots and historic sites scattered all over the scenic
area.

Fuchun River-Xin'an Jiang River
This scenic area starts from Hangzhou in the east
reaches Huangshan City in the west. It is famous for the picturesque
scenes along the rivers. The main scenic spots and historic sites
are Yaolin Cave in Tonglu, Yanziling Fishing Platform, Tongjun Hill,
Hulu Falls, Twin Pagodas in Meicheng and Qiandao(thousand islets)
Lake, etc, among them, Qiandao Lake is the largest in scale. |

Mt. Putuo
Situated
within Zhoushan Islands, Mt. Putuo is one of the four famous Buddhist
mountains in China. It is actually a small island of Zhoushan Islands,
covering an area of 12.5 km2, with more than 300 temples, among
which Puji, Fayu and Huiji Temples are the most famous. The main
scenic spots include Qianbusha Beach, Chaoyang Cave, Fanyin Cave,
South Heavenly Gate and West Heavenly Gate, etc. |
